Trainee Actuary – 2027 Intake

About the role

Pwc is looking for motivated graduates to join its Actuarial Services practice as Trainee Actuaries for the 2027 intake. You will work alongside experienced actuaries, providing advice and consulting services to a range of clients in insurance, banking, public and private sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advice on solvency, economic capital, risk management and mergers & acquisitions.
• Assess liabilities, deliver assurance over financial services audit clients, and support company restructuring and de‑risking initiatives.
• Develop financial models, conduct stress and scenario testing, and evaluate the impact of new legislation.
• Analyse the efficiency of claims and reporting processes and support ESG and new product viability assessments.
• Help clients address new financial reporting requirements by assessing impacts, building implementation plans and executing them.
• Collaborate as part of a problem‑solving team to tackle complex business issues from strategy to execution.

Required profile

• 120 UCAS points or 32 IB points (excluding General Studies), with Mathematics at a minimum grade of A.
• Strong analytical mindset and interest in actuarial consulting.
