Personal Banking Team Leader

About the role

We are seeking an experienced, people‑focused Team Leader to support the Personal Banking Manager and lead a high‑performing team delivering exceptional client outcomes for Standard Bank Offshore.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and support a team of Personal Bankers to deliver outstanding client experiences.
• Act as the first point of escalation for complex client queries, complaints and service incidents.
• Support the Personal Banking Manager in day‑to‑day leadership and operational management, including deputising when required.
• Build stronger client relationships through proactive service reviews and engagement activities.
• Monitor performance data and management information to drive service improvements, workforce planning and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• 5+ years’ experience in banking, financial services or a similar environment.
• Proven experience leading, coaching or mentoring others.
• GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above.
• Strong client service and relationship management skills.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
