Head of Credit Risk, Business and Commercial Banking

About the role

Lead the Credit Risk function for the Business and Commercial Banking unit, ensuring effective risk management across the credit lifecycle and supporting sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of credit risk professionals to identify risks, manage the portfolio and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Implement a comprehensive Credit Risk Management framework aligned with the bank’s risk appetite and strategic objectives.
• Monitor external economic, regulatory and industry factors, conduct horizon scanning and drive risk mitigation actions.
• Conduct regular portfolio reviews, track KPIs such as credit loss ratios and manage corrective actions.
• Maintain and adapt BU‑specific credit policies, chair credit committees and sponsor credit applications.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years senior people‑leadership experience with talent management and stakeholder engagement.
• 8‑10 years experience in credit origination and operations across multiple sectors and products.
• Proven ability to manage stressed and distressed clients, negotiate restructurings and protect bank interests.
• Regulatory‑savvy with experience in large‑scale leadership and external stakeholder management.
