Transaction Monitoring Analyst - Banking & Payments Operations

About the role

Barclays is hiring a Banking & Payments Operations Transaction Monitoring Analyst on a 12-month fixed-term contract, based in the Isle of Man. The role supports the effective operation of the AML/CFT control environment by reviewing customer and transactional activity, investigating alerts and identifying unusual or potentially suspicious behaviour, using a risk-based approach and working with Financial Crime, Compliance and operational teams.

Key responsibilities

• Review customer and transactional activity, investigate alerts and identify suspicious behaviour
• Maintain clear and accurate case records and escalate concerns in line with internal procedures
• Collaborate with Financial Crime, Compliance and operational teams to protect the bank and its customers from financial crime
• Support day-to-day Private Bank and Wealth Management processing, reviewing, reporting and issue resolution
• Identify areas for improvement and recommend changes to Private Bank and Wealth Management processes
• Develop and implement procedures and controls, and produce reports and presentations on performance for senior stakeholders

Required profile

• Experience in transaction monitoring and/or financial crime operations, able to identify suspicious activity, conduct investigations and make risk-based decisions on escalations and case outcomes
• Ability to assess complex transaction patterns and identify potential financial crime risks
• Excellent attention to detail, with audit-ready investigation summaries
• Knowledge of payments, banking products, transaction flows and common financial-crime typologies is highly valued
