Head of Digital and E-Commerce

About the role

Standard Bank Offshore, the offshore arm of the Standard Bank Group, is looking for a Head of Digital and E-Commerce to implement, maintain, scale and commercialise the digital platforms and e-commerce functionality for Personal and Private Banking (PPB) clients in a large African region. The role builds and runs e-commerce across the country in line with PPB Group requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a compelling digital platform and e-commerce strategy for the country with PPB Group and other stakeholders
• Drive engagement and usage of digital assets, the e-commerce platform and value-adding products across the client journey
• Optimise digital platform and e-commerce financial metrics
• Build and maintain platform standards such as design libraries, authentication patterns and development and deployment patterns
• Lead client sensing and continuous scanning of the external environment for new partnerships, business and technology trends
• Lead the team in building strategies for increased digital interaction, habit creation, engagement states and commercialisation

Required profile

• First degree in Business or Commerce
• 5-7 years of experience in digital and e-commerce, including leading, integrating and delivering client solutions through multi-disciplinary teams
• Proven track record in organisations of comparable size and complexity
• More than 10 years of experience managing an income statement and balance sheet, pricing strategies, risk management, people management and team leadership
• Strong understanding of digital, open banking and platform integration into a segment
