Actuarial Trainee – Insurance

About the role

Zurich Insurance is looking for an Actuarial Trainee to join its dynamic actuarial team on the Isle of Man. The role provides a solid foundation across core actuarial disciplines, including corporate centre reporting, regulatory reporting, business planning and risk management. You will receive comprehensive training while contributing to accurate financial information for regulators and senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Produce accurate, timely and well‑explained actuarial analyses and reporting outputs.
• Ensure data used in calculations is complete, accurate and of high quality.
• Support delivery of actuarial reporting, analysis and project work across the team.
• Communicate technical findings clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Maintain and enhance actuarial processes, controls and documentation.

Required profile

• Strong degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related discipline.
• Strong numerical, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Progress towards professional actuarial qualifications is desirable.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
