Health Care Assistant – Flexible Hours

About the role

Bradda View Nursing & Residential Home is seeking Health Care Assistants to deliver high‑quality care to service users in line with regulatory standards. Both full‑time and zero‑hour contracts are available, providing flexible working patterns.

Key responsibilities

• Work as part of a team to provide care that meets regulatory standards and promotes the welfare of service users.
• Assist with personal care tasks, mobility, and dietary intake according to each care plan.
• Support medication administration where authorised and trained.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and carry out domestic duties as required.
• Monitor and report changes in physical or mental health, and participate in care plan reviews.
• Engage with service users to encourage independence and positive social interaction.

Required profile

• No formal qualification required, but NVQ/RQF Level 2 in Health and Social Care is desirable.
• Level 3 RQF Medication Unit required for medication‑related tasks.
• Good literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
• Observational, organisational and caring attributes with integrity.
• Ability to follow instructions, work in a team and use own initiative.
