Cloud Solution Architect

About the role

Standard Bank Offshore is seeking a Cloud Solution Architect to develop, design and maintain solution architectures for specific business functional and technical areas. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure technology aligns with business outcomes and strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, design and maintain solution architectures for designated business areas.
• Participate in defining functional and non‑functional requirements, analysing trade‑offs and specifying component interfaces.
• Adhere to Agile methodologies, applying LEAN and SCRUM practices across delivery.
• Monitor and respond to RFI/RFP requests, evaluate proposals and provide scoring criteria.
• Assess and recommend solution, domain and client segment architectures for alignment with engineering, business strategies, legislation and governance.
• Uphold strategic alignment of technology architecture (functional, platform, application, data, security, integration) with agreed business outcomes.

Required profile

• Post‑graduate degree in Information Technology.
• 5‑7 years experience in Enterprise Technology & Solutions Architecture.
• 8‑10 years designing innovative solutions such as authentication systems, platform migrations, and various architecture domains.
• Strong understanding of Agile, LEAN and SCRUM working practices.
• Experience managing platforms and operating systems.
